David Morrissey narrates a new BBC Two documentary about the rise of the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has been President of the country since 2014.
The 2-part documentary airs a few days before the Turkish election which takes place on Sunday 13th May. It tells the story of his rise from a humble background to becoming Mayor of Istanbul during the 90s, then Prime Minister in 2003, before being elected President in 2014.
Episode 1 airs on BBC Two tonight (Tuesday 9th May) at 9pm, concluding tomorrow night at the same time. Both episodes are available on BBC iPlayer now.
