First look images for Paramount+'s brand new drama series 'The Castaways' have been revealed. The 5-part series tells the story of two sisters, Lori and Erin who embark on the holiday of a lifetime to Fiji. But after a huge row Erin doesn't board their island hopping flight which subsequently crashes into the Pacific with Lori on board, presumed dead.
Céline Buckens stars as Erin who begins a desperate hunt to find out what happened to her sister, who is played by Sheridan Smith. The series will jump between the two sisters’ perspectives, as we follow Erin’s present day investigation and Lori’s struggle for survival following the crash.
“I’m so excited to be working with Céline Buckens and to be part of this amazing production bringing Lucy Clarke’s best-selling novel to life,” says Sheridan Smith.
"I’m really thrilled to bring Erin to life", adds Céline. "She’s a firecracker and the scripts bring layers and darkness to such an arresting premise,” adds . “I hope audiences will be as hooked watching it as I was reading it.”
First look pictures have just been released for the series which is due out very soon, possibly late 2023 or early 2024.
