Award-winning musical 'This is My Family' tells the uplifting story of a family holiday gone hilariously wrong — but one that ultimately brings them closer together. The show won the UK Theatre Award for Best Musical when it was first shown in 2013. This new production at the Southwark Playhouse stars Gemma Whelan as wife and mum Yvonne, who is desperately trying to keep her family together.
The official synopsis elaborates further "When teenager Nicky enters a competition to describe her perfect family and unexpectedly wins a dream holiday, she takes them back to where her parents first met. But instead of luxury, they find themselves on a disastrous camping trip that forces them to rediscover what really matters."
