House of the Dragon wins Best TV drama series at last night's Golden Globes

The 80th Golden Globes ceremony took place in LA last night with House of the Dragon taking home the coveted 'Best Television Series - Drama' Award.

The Game of Thrones prequel, which premiered in the UK on Sky Atlantic last year, is set 200-300 years before Game of Thrones. The series tells the early stories of the Lannisters, Targaryens and Baratheons as the history of Westeros is explored.

The 10-episode series featured Arty Froushan who played the talented, eye-catching young knight Qarl Correy who becomes a favourite and lover of Laenor Velaryon.  Thom Ashley also had a role in the show playing Brett Lannister, a member of the House of Lannister.

House of the Dragon is currently available to stream on NOW and Amazon Prime Video.
