Thom is known best for playing ‘Reuben’ in Series 2 of ‘War of the Worlds’ on Disney +, a re-imagining of the H.G. Wells classic sci-fi story.
In 2023 he has a featured role playing loyal military aide, La Bédoyère, in Ridley Scott's epic film 'Napoleon' opposite Joaquin Phoenix. In 2022 he played Brett Lannister in the Golden Globe nominated, Game of Thrones prequel 'House of the Dragon' (Sky Atlantic and NOW). Also in 2022 he had a small part playing Tello in AMC+'s utopian suspense thriller 'Moonhaven'.
In 2021 he appeared in ‘Benediction’, a BBC film about the life of English poet and soldier Siegfried Sassoon, starring Geraldine James and Peter Capaldi. Thom played ‘Hamo Sassoon’ who was Siegfried’s brother.
He is also known for his role as ‘Wallo’ in Netflix’s 2020 series ‘Cursed’ as well as action adventure series ‘Into The Badlands’ on AMC. In 2020 he also had a small role in Sky Atlantic's 'Devils' which starred Patrick Dempsey. He appeared in the 2017 BAFTA nominated BBC drama ‘Gunpowder’ as ‘Father Daniel Smith’, which portrayed the story of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot in the early 17th Century, starring Kit Harrington and Liv Tyler.
Brought up in Cheshire & Manchester, Thom has a naturally soft, general Northern accent which he can strengthen or neutralise on request. He is confident with Manchester, Yorkshire and Liverpool accents, plus RP & general American.
