A brand new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic, timeless rock musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar' premieres tomorrow night, 30th August, in Norway.
Norwegian actor Jeppe Beck Laursen will star as the traitorous Judas Iscariot in the show which is on until 15th November at Oslo's Folketeateret Theatre. He is best known for starring as Danish warrior Hæsten in Netflix’s ‘The Last Kingdom.
He said “I am tasked with portraying one of history’s most talked-about and hated figures, and it is a challenge that sparks my creative curiosity. The same goes for the impressive level of the team around me.”
He stars opposite some of Norway's best known actors & musical stars including award-winning actor Aksel Hennie as Jesus and award-winning singer-songwriter Ingrid Håvik as Mary Magdalene.
