New BBC Three Comedy 'Dreaming Whilst Black' premieres tonight, Monday 24th July, at 10pm. The series is a continuation of the critically acclaimed pilot which aired in 2021 and was greenlit for a 6-part series last autumn.
It tells the story of Kwabena, an aspiring filmmaker who is trapped in his recruitment job. When Amy, an old school friend who works at a production company, fixes him an opportunity, he must decide between going all in or giving up his dream entirely. It has been billed as "a love letter to black culture, relationships and following your passions".
Lydia Rose Bewley plays Susie, one of Amy's work colleagues, who is desperate to please and say the right thing but constantly does the exact opposite!
