The National Theatre's new production of Lucy Prebble's play 'The Effect' opens tonight, Tuesday 1st August.
The play stars Pappa Essiedu as Tristan and Taylor Russell as Connie, two volunteers in a clinical drug trial who immediately fall for each other, but their illicit romance poses ethical dilemmas for the doctors in charge.
Mara Huf is the understudy to Connie and will be performing in Taylor Russell's absence on 28/29 September.
Lucy Prebble is known for penning Secret Diary of a Call Girl, I Hate Suzie and being a co-writer on Succession.
The play runs at the Lyttleton Theatre until 7th October. Book tickets.
