Nick Helm narrates Britbox's new documentary about British cinema 'Reel Britannia'

Britbox's new 4-part documentary Reel Britannia tells the story of British film over the last 60 years.  Comedian Nick Helm narrates the series which looks at the masterpieces of British cinema including the James Bond and Carry On films as well as classics such as Whistle Down the Wind.  The series is written and directed by Jon Spira and is made in association with the BFI.  It includes interviews with some of Britain's greatest ever film-makers including Ken Loach, Mike Leigh and Terry Gillam.

Reviewers have already described the series as "a marvellous, in depth exploration of modern cinema'" (The Times), "hugely entertaining" (The Mail) and "irreverent and well informed...an unexpected delight" (The Telegraph).   The Mail goes on to talk about "gravel voiced" comedian Nick Helm's narration saying, "he has a lot of fun with the cheeky yet still authoritative narration".

The first episode is available from today on Britbox, with a new episode being released weekly across the next 4 weeks, with each episode devoted to a particular decade.  Watch the trailer.

Comedian Nick Helm is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents.  Click his image for his profile page and voiceover showreel.
