Netflix's hugely anticipated spy thriller 'Black Doves' is released today, Thursday 5th December.
The "darkly festive" 6-parter sees Omari Douglas starring alongside a stellar cast that includes Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw and Sarah Lancashire. Omari plays Michael, the long-term partner of Ben Whishaw's character Sam.
The official synopsis describes the series as a "sharp, action-filled, and heartfelt story of friendship and sacrifice". Knightley leads the cast as dedicated wife and mother Helen Webb, who is married to a top politician and, unbeknownst to him, is also a professional spy. She has worked for the Black Doves, a shadowy organisation led by enigmatic spymaster Reed (Sarah Lancashire), for 10 years passing on her husband’s secrets.
However, things begin to go wrong when her secret lover is assassinated and her old friend Sam (Ben Whishaw), a suave, champagne-drinking assassin, is called upon to keep Helen safe.
