Robert Webb is to star in a new CBBC sitcom ‘High Hoops’ which is due out later this year

CBBC has announced a brand new commission 'High Hoops' which will star Robert Webb as high school headmaster Mr Holt.

The 10-episode sitcom will follow the fortunes of a hopeless school basketball team who recruit a new player in hope of turning their fortunes around.

Filming is underway in West Yorkshire and the series is due to air later this year.

The series will see Robert re-united with Peep Show co-star Isy Suttie who played Dobby in the much loved, long-running Channel 4 comedy.  She will play the mother of teenager Aoife who has recently joined the school.

The official synopsis says, "Following Aoife and her family as they move to a new area and a new school, she sees this as an opportunity to change her life. But the teenager soon discovers that the only place she really fits in is the school basketball team. And they're terrible. Can she turn them around?"

Set in West Yorkshire, High Hoops is written by comedy writer and lifelong basketball player and coach Sinead Fagan.

Robert Webb is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents.  Click his image for his profile page and voiceover showreel.
