Robert Webb guest stars in the Murder They Hope festive special entitled 'Blood Actually: A Murder They Hope Mystery'. He plays village copper Martin who proudly refers to himself as 'the law around these parts' but he isn't really sure what it means. Authoritative but completely clueless.
The hour-long festive episode stars a host of other top comedy names alongside regular cast members Jonny Vegas and Sian Gibson who star as couple Terry and Gemma. In the episode Gemma has hired a quaint cottage in a rural village and Terry has been learning to cook the perfect Christmas dinner. They are sure it's going to be the best Christmas ever. However when the competitors in a local Santa competition start being killed off one by one, in a host of warped festive aways, they turn their attentions to solving the crimes - hopefully in time for Christmas lunch!
The episode also guest stars Jane Horrocks, Peter Davison, Anita Dobson, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Martin Kemp.
It premieres tonight, Sunday 17th December, at 5.40pm on Gold and will also be repeated frequently in the run up to Christmas, including Friday 22nd at 9pm, Christmas Eve at 5.40pm as well as at 9pm on Christmas Day. It will also be available to stream on NOW TV. Watch the teaser trailer.
