Dune is the second most nominated movie in this year's Oscar nominations. The film has further cemented its place as one of this award season's favourites with 11 BAFTA nominations. Dune has been shortlisted for the coveted Best Picture Award by both the Academy and BAFTA.
Sharon Duncan-Brewster stars as Dr Liet-Kynes in the epic sci-fi adventure movie based on the novel by Frank Herbert. Dr Liet-Kynes is an Imperial Planetologist studying the desert planet of Arrkis, known as 'Dune' where the story is set.
The long list of nominations includes Music/Original Score, Cinematography, Costume Design and Visual Effects, as well as Best Adapted Screenplay in both lists. The winners of the 94th Academy Awards will be announced on Sunday 27th March and the BAFTA winners will be revealed two weeks before on Sunday 13th March.
