The sci-fi epic, starring Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Dr Liet-Kynes, is officially released in the UK on Friday. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film is a new cinematic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic 1965 novel set on the desert planet of Arrkis, known as 'Dune'.
Sharon talked to Vanity Fair prior to the premiere saying her dress made her "like a mythical goddess". She also noted that it was actually the third red carpet premiere she had ever attended in her life so the evening felt extra special, taking place in her home town. Appearing alongside Sharon on the red carpet were her co-stars Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin and Timothee Chalamet.
She is extremely proud of Dune and admitted to feeling shy on set around her talented co-stars. She talked further about the film saying, "it’s part of a story adapted from a highly revered book but I’d stress that whether they’ve read the book or not, they are about to be taken on a journey like no other and there is something in it for everyone".
