See Dune star Sharon Duncan-Brewster in the acclaimed National Theatre production of ‘Death of England: Closing Time’ for a limited season @Soho Place from today, 22nd August until 28th September.
Closing Time is the final part in the acclaimed State of the Nation trilogy of plays written by Clint Dyer and Roy Williams which premiered in 2023. This is the first time that all 3 plays have been performed together - with the plays performed back to back on selected dates over the next month.
Sharon stars as Denise, alongside Erin Doherty who plays her daughter-in-law Carly, in the play which is described as a "thought-provoking drama that explores family dynamics, race, colonialism and cancel culture". Sharon also played the part of Denise when the play first premiered at the National Theatre, back in 2023.
Pappa Essiedu and Thomas Coombes played the leads in the first two plays in this production.
