Sharon Duncan-Brewster stars as Nogi in ‘Ballerina’, the fifth instalment in the John Wick franchise which is out in cinemas nationwide from today

The latest instalment in the John Wick film franchise is released in UK cinemas today, Friday 6th June.  It sees Sharon Duncan-Brewster in a major role as Nogi, a senior member of the criminal Ruska Roma organisation who is a pivotal mentor to their latest recruit, Eve (played by Ana de Armas) who she trains to become a deadly assassin.

Nogi is at the centre of a new direction for the franchise, which is known for its stylish violence and sleek assassins, but this film also focuses on mentorship, emotional legacy, and inner transformation.  This is the first film in the franchise which has been told from a female perspective, with strong leading female characters throughout, making this film feel very different from previous John Wick films.

Watch the trailer and also see Sharon talking about the role in a recent interview. In cinemas nationwide now.
