Sherwood has won Best Drama Series at this year's Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel last night. The acclaimed BBC crime drama series starred David Morrissey as Detective Chief Superintendent Ian St Clair as well as Claire Rushbrook who played Cathy Rowley, sister in law to one of the victims.
Sherwood was inspired by two real life murders in 2004 and follows two police officers - one from the local force and one from the Met Police - who try to solve the murders and uncover a link.
The Best Drama Series Award is one of the most coveted awards at the ceremony and Sherwood fought off tough opposition from Top Boy and The Responder to win the prize. The judges awarded Sherwood with the prize saying, "It had a dream cast and a beautifully elegant script…it felt incredibly original.” See the full list of winners.
The series is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
Both David Morrissey and Claire Rushbrook are available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents. Click their images for their profile pages and voiceover showreels.
