'Emperor' will tell the story of young Johanna of Ghent as she seeks revenge on Emperor Charles V for the death of her father. Sophie Cookson stars as Johanna in this 16th Century epic from director Lee Tamahori. Adrian Brody will play Emperor Charles V.
The film synopsis describes it as "a world of wealth, debauchery, violent retaliations, sex, manipulation, and treason. It's the sixteenth century revisited."
After some lengthy delays the film has finally had a release date confirmed for 16th August 2022.
