Stuart Martin is one of the lead voices in brand new Netflix adult animated series 'Twilight of the Gods' which is out tomorrow, Thursday 19th September.
The 8-part series is based around Northern European Norse mythology and centres around Sigrid, an iron willed female warrior who falls in love with a mortal warrior king Leif, voiced by Stuart. When Sigrid's entire family and village are murdered by the god Thor on their wedding day, the pair seek bloody revenge. The series has been described as a "heroic story of love, loss, and revenge that traverses fantastical lands, battlefields fierce and bloody, and wars waged against deities and demons".
The series is produced and directed by Zack Snyder with a musical score by Hans Zimmer. Snyder recently spoke about the great love story at the heart of the show, "Sigrid should probably take care of the ones that are alive and around her rather than go on this quest to right a wrong only for herself … It’s a testament to how much those around her love her that they will go — especially Leif — that he’ll go that far for her, that he’ll go to the edge for her. And because he just can’t let her go, he can’t let her go alone.”
