Channel 4 have announced a brand new 6-part new thriller which will hit our TV screens in 2025. 'In Flight' is currently in production and tells the story of an air hostess who is blackmailed by a criminal gang into smuggling drugs.
Stuart Martin will star in the series as Cormac, a leading member of the blackmailing gang. He stars opposite Katherine Kelly who plays Jo, a single mum working as a flight attendant whose son is serving a fifteen-year sentence in a Bulgarian prison for a murder he swears he did not commit. Jo is approached by a gang who know all about her son and is blackmailed into using her job to smuggle drugs.
The series is written and co-created by Slow Horses writer Adam Randall and Marcella writer Mike Walden. Filming is taking place in Belfast with funding support from Northern Ireland Screen. The series is scheduled for release in 2025.
