Series 7 of the 18th century Scottish romantic drama Outlander is released today, Friday 16th June, with 16 new episodes. The new season will premiere on Starz in the US and Lionsgate+ in the UK.
The new series sees the return of all the main cast members including Catriona Balfe as Claire Fraser and Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser. Sutara Gayle has joined the cast this season playing Lord John's feisty housekeeper Mrs Figg. She will feature in the latter part of the series, in episodes 11-14.
This is the penultimate series of the show, with producers confirming that Series 8 will be the last. Although they have also announced there will be a new prequel series called 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood' which will centre on the lives of Jamie Fraser's parents.
