Dominique is best known for her leading role in the critically acclaimed, award-winning Prime Video series ‘The Expanse’, based on the popular sci-fi fiction series by James S. A. Corey. She played engineer Naomi Nagata, starring in all 6 series of the show which ran from 2015-2022. ‘The Expanse’ is set hundreds of years in the future when the whole solar system has been taken over by humanity. She also served as a producer on the final series.
Recent major roles include starring in the 2024 Netflix epic docu-drama series 'Testament: The Story of Moses', playing Zipporah, Moses' wife and playing the leading role of British intelligence agent Smith in Texas meets East London 2023 action thriller 'One Ranger'. She and her boss (played by John Malkovich) join forces with a Texas ranger to bring down an international terrorist. Also in 2023 she played Saskia, the lead in new play 'Union' at London's Arcola Theatre.
In 2022 she starred as Kelly, a stone-cold spoilt gangster’s daughter in the 6 episode Scandi thriller TV series ‘Headhunters’, adapted from the Jo Nesbø novel and 2011 film of the same name.
In 2016 she starred in the BAFTA-nominated, BIFA-winning post-apocalyptic action film ‘The Girl with All the Gifts’ which also starred Gemma Arterton and Glenn Close. She played Private Devani, a soldier living through the zombie apocalypse, who is witness to experimentation on a group of feral children.
She has appeared in a number of other feature films including playing brash and fabulous popstar ‘Bastion’ in the 2020 romantic drama ‘Monday’ which starred Denise Gough and Sebatian Stan, as well as the first film in the Fantastic Beasts series ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’. She also had a major role as Maddie in the sci-fi thriller film ‘Mindgamers’, which starred Sam Neill.
In 2014 she appeared in Mark Waters' feature film adaptation of the teen novel ‘Vampire Academy’ and in 2012 she starred as Sarah in ‘Fast Girls’, alongside Leonora Crichlow, Lashana Lynch and Lily James.
She has experience of voicing VR/video game characters, including the lead role of Rachel in the award winning short VR film ‘Biolum’ in 2021, and Lina Navarro in the video game ‘Need for Speed: Payback’ (American accent) in 2017.
Dominique has a native London accent and she slides between Neutral British, Cockney and M.L.E regularly. She is particularly good with accents and ranges from American, used in the film Monday, to Afrikaans, Scottish and Southern Irish. She is also an accomplished singer.
