Irish-born Evanna is an actress, podcaster, writer and vegan activist. Her professional career began at the age of fourteen when she played the role of quirky misfit Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series. She also voiced her character in their tie-in video games.
Since then Evanna has continued to act on screen and stage. In 2023 she stars as the lead in 'Under the Black Rock' at London's Arcola Theatre, which is set in Belfast during the Troubles. Other recent credits include a run of Enda Walsh's cult classic play ‘Disco Pigs’, Ryan Craig's ‘Games For Lovers’ and she starred in ‘My Name is Emily’, which was nominated for a number of Irish Film & Television Awards as well as winning at the Galway film festival. She also had a starring role in Silent Witness series 24 (2021), playing the role of 'Paisley Robertson' who falls for a prisoner in jail for murder.
She is a vegan and animal rights activist and in 2017 she launched a vegan podcast ‘The ChickPeeps’. Winner of Vegan Food and Living's Best Podcast award, The ChickPeeps is known for its light-hearted repartee between the co hosts and guests as they explore every dilemma a vegan might encounter from dating to travel, to sustainability, and much more.
She released her debut book 'The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting: The Tragedy and Glory of Growing Up: A Memoir' on 14th October 2021, in which she confronts all the complexities and contradictions within herself and reveals how she overcame a life-threatening eating disorder.
Evanna is also the co-founder of Kinder Beauty Box, a monthly vegan beauty subscription box that she launched in January 2019. She is also the voice of 'Siobhan' in the 2022 audiobook version of 'The No Show' by bestselling author Beth O'Leary.
Her native accent is Irish, Southern Irish, Dublin with a Mid Atlantic lilt which she can remove on request.
