Sharon Wanjohi is a young, current, up-and-coming comedian who has become a well known and requested name on the circuit.

2025 saw her nominated in the Chortle 'Best Newcomer' Awards.  She also made her Edinburgh Festival solo debut with 'Sharon Wanjohi: In the House' listed by both The Guardian and Rolling Stone as one of their top new acts to see at the Festival. 2025 also saw her as a guest on top food/comedy podcast 'Off Menu' in an episode described by one fan as "one of the all-time great episodes".

In 2024 she was part of the line-up in the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards, taking part in the Midlands heat, which was broadcast on BBC Three, and in 2021 she reached the finals of both the Funny Women Stage Awards and the Chortle Student Comedy Awards. 

She joined fellow comedian Abbie Edwards as part of the Free Fringe in 2023 performing their show 'Screaming, Crying, Throwing Up'.

In 2022 she featured in the Channel 4 online series ‘Jokes only a …. Can Tell’, which showcased Muslim, disabled, Jewish, Nigerian and lesbian stand-ups.  She appeared in the hit podcast ‘Drunk Women Solving Crime’ and in 2023, she performed on ITV2's The Stand Up Sketch Show and at Latitude's Comedy Arena. 

She has a native East London accent.
