Darkly comic 2024 ITV thriller set in a small Northern village, Chadder Vale, where a local girl, Katie Wells, is abducted and then returned the next day safe and sound. Although the villagers return to life as normal, none of it sits right with ex-Met police detective and relative outsider Riya Ajunwa, played by Wunmi Mosaku.
When further strange happenings and horrific crimes unfold she has to convince the villagers that all is not as it seems.
Daniel Ryan starred as Derek Jackson, the owner of the local bread factory where Katie works as an accountant. Matilda Freeman starred as Katie's younger sister Lily Wells. Narinder Samra played Dr Singh in episode 5.
