Series 1 followed the confident, wealthy daughter of an entrepreneur, Talitha Campbell, who is arrested following the disappearance of fellow student, the hard-working daughter of a single mother. The five-part drama focused on a trial that grips the nation, creates a media storm and puts the victim, the accused and their families into the spotlight. Starring Celine Buckens as Talitha Campbell, with Tracy Ifeachor as her solicitor Cleo. Also starred Joseph Payne, Sinead Keenan and Lolita Chakrabarti.
Tom Andrews had a major role playing Seb Harding, the Campbell family's smooth talking lawyer.
Celine Buckens received nominations for Best Actress at the 2022 International Emmy Awards and Best Supporting Actress at the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards for her leading role.
A second series ran in 2024 starring Michael Socha as PC Justin Mitchell, a policeman accused of killing a wealthy climate change activist and Adeel Akhtar as his solicitor, Sam Malik, known for getting unpalatable clients off on seemingly unbeatable charges.
Aidan McArdle also starred as the shady Patrick Norris, a friend and ally of Mitchell's and neighbour to the dead man, who is also implicated in the murder.
