Series 8 of the BAFTA winning 'Inside Number 9' continues tonight, Thursday 11th May, at 10pm on BBC Two.
Tonight's episode, 'Love is a Stranger', sees Claire Rushbrook starring as singleton Vicky who ventures into the perilous world of online dating. She comes across Manny (Steve Pemberton) and is quickly charmed by his down to earth attitude and self-deprecating humour. But the stakes are high as the Lonely Hearts Killer is looking for their next victim on the very chatrooms that she frequents. Will she uncover their identity before its too late?

Carol Midgley in The Times describes the episode as, “an expertly conceived, written and acted piece of television about the horrors of online dating. Claire Rushbrook’s performance was beautifully restrained, oozing shy vulnerability as a series of hideous men popped up on her laptop screen.”
Inside Number 9 won 3 BAFTAs in 2021 including Best Scripted Comedy.
