Brand new play 'Speed' makes its premiere at London's Bush Theatre on Friday night, 4th April. The highly charged play sees Arian Nik star as Samir who finds himself at a speed awareness course in an entirely average hotel basement somewhere in Birmingham. Nikesh Patel starred as Abz, the UK’s leading expert on road safety and the most in-demand course facilitator north of the M25.
Samir, along with two other ordinary people, a nurse and an entrepreneur, has been fined for aggressive driving and summoned to the class with a choice: change your ways, or lose your licence.
But the training course quickly turns into a tumultuous group therapy session as they are forced to confront the real question: why are you all so angry?
The dark comedy is written by Mohamed-Zain Dada and directed by Milli Bhatia, both of whom Arian worked with on the hit Olivier Award nominated Royal Court production 'Blue Mist' back in 2023.
