Tune in to ITV at 9pm tonight, Wednesday 8th March, to see Daniel Ryan back on our screens in Series 4 of The Bay. He is back as police boss DI Tony Manning in the six-part crime drama series set in Morecambe Bay.
The new season follows a family hit by tragedy when their mother dies in a suspicious house fire. We see a father and children trying to rebuild their lives whilst the investigative team try to find out what really happened.
When recently asked about what's in store for DI Manning this series, Daniel Ryan said, "He doesn't seem to be quite himself. He's still downbeat and dour, but he's always been somebody who works late, always in the office but he seems to be flitting out of the office quite a lot and taking private phone calls. The team starts to have their suspicions and he becomes an object of office gossip that he's maybe seeing another person."
He went on to talk further about the new series saying, "I've got a strong feeling that it's our best one yet. What I love is that you never feel like you're walking through some formulaic drama. Each series feels like a new show...This year is yet another more complex case, one that involves more than one crime. It's richer and deeper than we've gone before with our characters and there's more for people to lap up."
The new series will also be available to stream on ITVX.
