Midas Man is a brand new film, released today on Prime Video, telling the incredible life story of the man behind The Beatles, Brian Epstein. He rose to prominence in the 1960s as the manager of the Fab Four, as well as Cilla Black and Gerry and the Pacemakers. The biopic tells how he rose from running a Liverpool record shop to shaping the sound of a generation until his sudden death from an accidental overdose in 1967 at the age of 32.
Omari Douglas & Darci Shaw star in the film respectively as Epstein’s friend Lonnie Trimble and Cilla Black, whose meteoric career he also managed.
The film also stars Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as Epstein, Emily Watson as his mother and Eddie Marsan as his father.
Midas Man will take audiences back to the Swinging Sixties, starting with the Mersey Beat sound early in the decade when Brian Epstein discovered the Beatles performing in Liverpool's Cavern Club, where a young Cilla Black (then Priscilla White) worked in the cloakroom but also sang alongside the Beatles.
