Paramount+ release their brand new Victorian-set thriller series 'The Doll Factory' today, Monday 27th November. The first two episodes are available now, with the next 4 episodes released daily over the next 4 days.
The series is set in Victorian London and is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Elizabeth Macneal. It tells the story of doll painter Iris and her sister Rose. Iris dreams of becoming an artist and when she meets Louis, a painter and member of the pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, she agrees to model for him in return for him teaching her to paint. In doing so she finds the opportunity to escape to a new life but must abandon her sister, sacrifice her reputation and launch herself into the unknown. But as Iris’s world expands, a story of dark obsession begins to unfold.
Freddy Carter stars as series regular Gideon, whilst Hannah Onslow plays Pre-Raphaelite model Lizzie.
