British actress Hannah Onslow is a young rising star of film & TV who recently appeared alongside Olivia Colman, Michael Ward and Colin Firth in the Sam Mendes Academy Award & Golden Globe nominated film ‘Empire of Light’.  She played Janine, a young employee at the Empire Cinema where the main characters work. 

She had a pivotal role in the BAFTA winning TV series ‘This is Going to Hurt’ in which she played a young pregnant woman, Erika, who becomes central to the drama that unfolds around maternity ward doctor Adam Kay.  She also played Elise in the 2021 BBC drama series ‘Ridley Road’, set in the 1960s about the Jewish opposition to British Fascism. 

In 2023 she can be seen in the new Indiana Jones film ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ as well as the Paramount+ thriller series ‘The Doll Factory’.   She also has a major role in ITV’s ‘Belgravia The Next Chapter’, a sequel to the hit 19th century historical drama ‘Belgravia’ written by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, due for release in late 2023.  She has also recently wrapped filming on Sally El Hosaini’s new independent film ‘Unicorns’.

Hannah naturally speaks with an Essex accent but regularly uses a neutral or RP accent in her work.
