Yorkshire born actress Maimie is best known for starring alongside Marc Warren in ITV crime drama series ‘Van Der Valk’. She plays Van Der Valk's partner, Detective Lucienne Hassell, in all 3 series of the show, the most recent of which aired in 2023. Also in 2023 she can be seen returning as Grace Harper in series 4 'London Kills' on Acorn TV. She previously appeared in the second series of the show back in 2019.
She also had a prominent role in Channel 5’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. Other series regular roles include ITV’s ‘A Confession’ alongside Martin Freeman and ‘The Musketeers’ for the BBC. Other highlights of her TV career include ‘DCI Banks’, ‘Midsomer Murders’ and ‘White House Farm’, which won Best New Drama at the TV Choice Awards in 2020. She also starred as ‘Joyce Hatto’ in Victoria Wood's ‘Loving Miss Hatto’ with Alfred Molina and Rory Kinnear.
Maimie trained as a dancer before training as an actor. Her theatre work includes ‘The Final Curtain’ at the Soho Theatre, a UK Number 1 tour of ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’ and ‘Our Town at the Edinburgh Festival.
Maimie was brought up in rural North Yorkshire near Middlesbrough and her native accent is soft Yorkshire.
