Spinoff of 'Father Brown', commissioned by Britbox America and shown on UKTV Drama and UKTV Play in the UK. Comedy drama around the much loved 'Sister Boniface' character from 'Father Brown' who uses her own techniques to help police track down criminals in the Cotswold village of Great Slaughter in the 1960s .
The show stars Lorna Watson in the title role. Jerry Iwu also stars as high-flying Bermudian Detective Sergeant Felix Livingstone who was supposed to be on secondment to the Metropolitan Police but arrives in Great Slaughter instead due to a clerical error. Miranda Raison too stars as hard nosed investigative journalist Ruth Penny.
Second series ran in 2023 in which we meet Sister Boniface's parents, including her father Malise, an atheist Oxford professor, played by Geoff McGivern. Karl Theobald also had a role in the second series playing Patt Garrett. The show also returned for a 2023 Festive special and a third series in 2024.
Tom Andrews played Alan Pritchard in Series 1 and Manpreet Bambra played young actress Phoebe Volante in Series 3.
